Everywhere in the US is shutting down and finding alternate methods of doing things. Amtgard is no different. We as a population are to stay home and “socially distance” ourselves and The Board of Directors posted for the Queen this week on the new temporary rules for our kingdom:

Neverwinter’s B.O.D. for the Monarchy, has announced the following on March 20th: “All in-person meetings of sponsored groups of Amtgard Florida Inc, known as the Kingdom of Neverwinter, are hereby suspended in areas where public meeting places such as city or county parks are closed or restricted from use at this time. Members of groups in these areas are asked to follow the guidance set forth in regards to social distancing or non-essential gatherings by your local government and/or health agencies and act accordingly. The Board will continue to monitor and reconsider the situation in the near future to determine when it is safe or responsible to allow in-person meetings again. The Monarchy is in contact with local officers on a regular basis to make such determinations.
Further, the Board also strongly discourages its members from arranging in-person meetings on private property that would seek to circumvent the provisions set forth by their municipalities. While the Board in no way may dictate the actions of the members at large, it chooses not to recognize these meetings as sanctioned gatherings of a sponsored group at this time and no credit will be given for such meetings.
The Monarchy has and will continue to provide alternative methods to bring Amtgarders together and promote unity among the Kingdom, including credits for attending publicized local online chats, Kingdom sponsored virtual quests and games, and the like. There will be more communicated in the coming days and weeks as situations unfold.” - Sir Nocturne

Greetings Neverwinter!
Amid the ever increasing concerns around Covid-19 and in accordance with the guidance of the CDC and health organizations, many local park and recreation systems are closing public access for the foreseeable future, leaving many Amtgarders without a place to gather.
It is with that in mind that the Monarchy would like to make the following announcement per corpora section :
9.1.1) Any decision agreed upon by the Monarch and Prime Minister is law until the next meeting of the Althing (within one month), provided it does not conflict with a previous Althing decision or mundane law.
With the agreement of KPM Roryn, we would like to clarify the following corpora section as follows:
2.1) Attendance credits are given out for attending Amtgard functions.
An “Amtgard function” can include: virtual conferences or meetings, voice chats, live-streams, or similar, under these circumstances:
1- in-person meeting facilities are unavailable due to emergency situations such as closure mandated by overseeing authorities
2- virtual meetings etc must be scheduled in advance and details made available per sponsorship agreement for any who may wish to attend, including members of the group, other Amtgard groups, or public interested in joining
3- virtual meetings are limited to once per week for attendance purposes, in lieu of a standard weekly in-person meeting
4- chancellors are still responsible for records, and may show attendance through use of “screenshots”, chat logs, or similar
Local monarchs, please discuss with your fellow officers and park members and contact me with the above information if your park would like to use this option, so we can publish all info needed.
Finally, an Althing topic will be announced soon, per 9.1.1 to officially define.
